SCHARECKALM GASTEIN

High up in Sportgastein

From mid-June to the end of September, together with our dairy cows, we manage our Schareckalm in the Gastein Nassfeld at around 1,600 m. Nestled in the impressive mountain scenery, it is one of the most beautiful alpine pastures in the Gastein Valley and a special place for anyone looking for nature and authenticity.

The Schareckalm is easily accessible by bus. Buses run every 15 minutes. With the mobility ticket, which you automatically receive during your stay with us, bus travel and tolls are free for our guests.

The cosy alpine hut in Sportgastein can be reached from the car park in just a few minutes, making it ideal for young and old alike. At the same time, it’s a perfect starting point for mountain hikes – for example up to the impressive Schareck at 3,123 m.

What our cows give us, we process right here on site – with great care and craftsmanship, we create delicious specialties from fresh milk.

Look forward to regional, homemade “Schmankerl” – from fine alpine cheese to bacon, sausage and frankfurters, right through to crispy farmhouse bread served fresh from the oven. Honest, regional and prepared with lots of love – a true treat in the Salzburg region.

The new vintage of our home-distilled schnapps rounds everything off as a special treat for the palate. And the Gastein Valley itself contributes to your well-being: with its thermal healing waters, it offers an additional source of relaxation, health, and new energy.

Our little guests are also well taken care of: a playground and a small petting zoo with rabbits, chickens, and goats make the visit an experience for the whole family.
